Hundreds turned out for the Taste of Class at BMW of Monrovia last night (Wednesday, Sept. 10), a showcase of the spectacular new i8 sports can and the new EV i3, and also a preview of the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce’s Taste of Arcadia and Business Showcase at the Taste on Sept. 22 at the Arboretum.
Dozens of Chamber members turned out to test drive the i3 and take turns admiring and sitting in the i8, a $3 million prototype — the only one in the western United States right now before the $130,000 production models are released later this month for sale — and to enjoy the fantastic and myriad food and beverages being served free by Taste of Arcadia vendors Hai Di Lao Hot Pot, Hot N Sweet Chicken, Matt Denny’s Ale House Restaurant, The Peacock Grille of Embassy Suites Arcadia, Sweet Nothings Cake Shop, Villa Catrina Mexican Restaurant & Catina, and Wine of the Month Club.
In addition to the automobile eye candy, there acrobatic aerialist performers and a live band performance by Arcadia Chamber member the Arcadia Blues Club.
