Clean Power Alliance’s COVID-19 Relief Program
Clean Power Alliance (CPA) (link opens in new tab) is here to help our small business customers during COVID-19. We understand choosing between rent, bills or payroll is a situation no small business should have to face, especially during a crisis.
We’d like to remind our small business customers about our new $1 million COVID-19 Relief Program that provides bill assistance to our customers, including small businesses experiencing economic hardship due to COVID-19. Our impacted small business customers will be eligible for a one-time $50 bill credit by signing up for a payment plan through Southern California Edison (SCE). Qualifying customers include GS-1 and GS-2 account holders (check your recent SCE bill if you’re not sure what rate type you’re on).
For more information on CPA’s COVID-19 Relief Program and additional COVID-19 Resources, visit: cleanpoweralliance.org/covid19. Limited funds available on a first-come, first-served basis! To sign up for a payment plan, please call SCE today at 800-655-4555.
We’d also like to share some exciting information on a new customer program.
CPA Power Response Direct Install Incentives for Battery Storage
Is your business a CPA customer and interested in buying a battery storage unit? There is a program for you!
Battery energy storage is technology that can either be paired with solar panels or used alone to store energy during the day when it is less expensive and discharge it in the evening when energy from the grid is more expensive. Battery storage can help you save on energy and demand charges and can also allow you to participate in the CPA Power Response program to earn rewards.
The CPA Power Response program serves medium-to-large commercial and industrial customers who have invested or are about to invest in clean energy technologies like battery storage and electric vehicle chargers. They are excited to announce that there are now financial incentives available for your business to apply toward the direct installation costs of a battery storage system.
The maximum incentives range from $25,000-35,000 depending on the customer’s investment tax credit eligibility status and can be combined with Self Generation Incentive Program (SGIP) funds to pay for approximately 50% or more of the cost of a battery storage unit, depending on system size.
The Direct Install Program eligibility requirements, application, and a helpful handbook can be found on CPA’s website. The first round of applications is due by June 29, 2020 and will target systems that can be installed and operational by May 30, 2021. There will be a second round of applications in fall of 2020.
Please contact Jennifer Giles, Commercial Accounts Executive at jgiles@cleanpoweralliance.org or Karen Schmidt, Regional Affairs Manager at kschmidt@cleanpoweralliance.org if you’d like more information or to schedule a call to discuss in detail.
CPA thanks its customers for continuing to keep safe – we’re all in this together
