Coronavirus Update:
Elected Officials, City Managers and County Departments
Public Health Officials Provide Update on Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Public Health is seeing signs of stability in key indicators, including hospitalizations, deaths, and the 7-day
average of positivity rate. As we begin to see the curve flattening again, we must remain cautious and
attentive to the reality of COVID-19; it is not going away any time soon. If we return to life as we knew it
before the pandemic hit, we will see cases, hospitalizations and deaths increase once again. The Los Angeles
County Department of Public Health (Public Health) will be conducting a telebriefing to give you a situational
update, explain key indicators that Public Health is monitoring closely to determine our recovery, and spend
plenty of time answering your questions.
WHEN: Friday, August 14, 2020
Time: 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. (PDT)
WHERE: Telephone Call-in 844-867-6167
