Rose Hills Memorial Park COVID-19 FAQs
Is Rose Hills Memorial Park open?
At this time, Rose Hills’ chapels, mausoleums and offices, as well as the entrance into the Memorial Park are closed to the public, due to our Governor’s order to stay at home and not gather and more importantly, to ensure the health and safety of all. Only families who have current business or “day of” services will be allowed in the park.
Why is the Memorial Park closed?
Rose Hills is the largest memorial park in North America normally welcoming thousands every day and more than 3 million visitors annually. In an effort to abide by the Governor’s order to stay at home and not gather and for the well-being and public safety of all, we made a very difficult decision to temporarily close the Memorial Park.
Will Rose Hills be open for events, holidays and observances such as Easter and Ching Ming?
Not at this time. Visitation to the Memorial Park increases during holidays and remembrances such as Ching Ming and Easter. Community events have also been postponed or cancelled. Our Flower Shop is taking phone orders starting Monday, March 23 from 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, and can deliver to interment sites. The Flower Shop can be reached at (562) 699-8825 or (888) 767-3880.
What if there is an immediate need?
Families should call (562) 699-0921.
Arrangements can be made by calling (562) 692-1212 x5285.
If Rose Hills is closed, how will my loved one that just passed be cared for? Can we have a service?
We will continue to serve the community by providing essential mortuary and cemetery services such as removals, phone arrangements, direct burials and direct cremation services. Utilizing these essential services will allow families to address immediate needs and provide the option to schedule memorialization services at a later date. Also, we are very fortunate that we are able to offer a temporary entombment option for families. Through this, we can support a large graveside service at a later date.
Is the Flower Shop open? How can I place an order?
The Flower Shop at Gate 1, Gate 10 and the online store are closed to the public until further notice. They are taking phone orders starting Monday, March 23 from 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, and can deliver to interment sites. The Flower Shop can be reached at (562) 699-8825 or (888) 767-3880.
