Arcadia Chamber member jeweler Gemorie presented a private viewing of China Jadeite — a recently-discovered higher quality of the jade gemstone — at their elegant store on the Promenade at the Westfield Santa Anita mall Tuesday morning, Nov. 25, 2014.
Mayor John Wuo was welcomed by Gemorie CEO Edwin Wai and Chief Marketing Officer Hideaki Kuo, among others. The Gemorie executives as well as Arcadia Chamber Vice President Vicki Knight, Arcadia Chamber CEO Scott Hettrick, and several representatives from the offices of Congresswoman Judy Chu, State Senator Dr. Ed Hernandez, and Assembly Member Ed Chau all posed with beautiful models for photos and video by local media, including popular Asian TV channel LA 18, at a step-and-repeat banner in front of the store.
Beautiful rings and other items were offered in gift bags for each attendee, and raffle prizes were awarded, including a $1,200 bracelet made of the new jade that is distinguished from the traditional green jade due to its multiple colors of white, green, red, purple, blue, yellow, black and pink.
The presentation of China Jadeite, which was discovered along the “silk road” in Xinjiang China, was a collaboration of Gemorie with the Guangzhou “Jin Sin Yu” Culture and Commerce Association.
