On March 8, Women Network founder, Michelle Patterson brought together women from all walks of life to celebrate International Women’s Day. The event, held the University of Irvine campus, shared Global Sisterhood with women in the live audience. The event also live-streamed to countries all over the world, including Germany, Pakistan, Canada and others.
Lauren Elizabeth Walsh of Unify.org co-hosted the even and set a Guinness World Record of attendees via the live-stream. Speakers also included Spryte Loriano and Jane Brinton of TheWaterbearers.org, who strive to bring clean water to 1,000,00 people.
Gabrielle Bernstein, who Oprah Winfrey named the “next generation thought leader,” and David Meltzer, CEO of Sports1Marketing and Humanitarian Award recipient also engaged guests, along with legendary boxing promoter and peace talks ambassador, Don King. Jason Weisgerber inspired guests, as well, and Cynthia Kersey discussed the Unstoppable Foundation‘s impact, while actress and entrepreneur, Forbes Riley spoke via live-feed.
Eliana Gilad of Voices of Eden also led the guests in a meditative moment, with her frame drum as accompaniment. Dr. Marissa Pei also wrote a song specifically for the event, closing out the night.
