LOS ANGELES COUNTY UPDATE
Project Roomkey, Staying Connected During Passover & Holy Week, and Incident Report
The County of Los Angeles is regularly updating resources on COVID-19 and offers today’s update in an effort to keep you and yours informed. Please share the following up-to-date information:
Project Roomkey
Last week, State Governor Gavin Newsom launched Project Roomkey, making California the first state in the country to secure 15,000 hotel and motel rooms that will provide temporary shelter to our state’s most vulnerable.
The County of Los Angeles and teams of devoted service providers are leading the rapid expansion of this interim shelter, in a massive public health effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in LA County.
Watch a glimpse of the incredible work being done countywide by so many. There’s a video to showcase some of the work on Project Roomkey in Los Angeles, as well as photos of the valiant efforts being made at this time of need.

Passover/Seder
-
Produce a video or social post explaining the significance of Passover;
- Share a recipe for unleavened bread that others can make at home;
- Host a virtual Seder Dinner & explain the parts of the meal;

Holy Week
- Follow a service online or on T.V.;
- Make your own communion bread or share a recipe for unleavened bread with others;
- Exchange craft ideas or activity pages with your congregation & invite them to share them with friends and neighbors;

You have many options this week. Practicing your faith from home, in the time of COVID-19, is certainly one of them.
