MJ Finstrom and Dave Finstrom of Arcadia Chamber member company HUTdogs and Arcadia Chamber CEO Scott Hettrick will host multiple seminars on social media May 13 at the fifth annual Small Business Week all-day event at Pasadena City College (1570 East Colorado Boulevard) presented free by Constant Contact and sponsored by California SBDC (Small Business Development Center), SBA (Small Business Association), and SCORE.
More than a thousand people attended last year’s program and more than 1,500 businesses are expected to be represented this year with attendees offered more than 20 workshops from 9 a.m. – 3;30 p.m., a complimentary lunch and give-aways, and a wealth of resources available. While the event is free, you must register to attend.
After the welcome and opening remarks from 9-9:45 a.m., the Finstroms (brother and sister, not husband-and-wife) will host one of several choices of informative seminars in Session One from 10-10:45, theirs entitled “Social Media Campaigns that Produce Results” in Building C of Sexson Auditorium.
Meanwhile, simultaneously in room 308 of the same Building C, Hettrick will moderate a panel of Chamber executives discussing “Leveraging Local Networking,” including capitalizing on local events, creating an effective elevator pitch, etc. The panel will be continued with additional information and some different panelists during Session Two from 11:15 a.m. – 12 noon.
Session Two from 11:15 a.m. – 12 noon will also find the Finstroms hosting a panel called “Facebook for Business: Why Advertising is the New Game.”
