Esteemed food critic Merrill Shindler calls the Arcadia restaurant food corridor on Huntington Drive “a culinary Epcot theme park — a lot of places to eat, representing a lot of different ethnic groups,” in today’s (March 7. 2014) dining column of the Pasadena Star-News.
In specifically offering strong positive reviews for two restaurants — the new Pho Kitchen and Basil Thai Cooking — Shindler praises the Arcadia Landmark Center at 411 E. Huntington Drive, which he calls a mini-Southeast Asia, thanks to a good Vietnamese restaurant that sits almost directly next to a good Thai restaurant.” He calls it “a battle between pho and pad Thai — and we win no matter which one we choose.”
