Update on LA County Childcare Providers Recovery Grant Program
The Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA) is serving as the subrecipient to the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) to lead the County Childcare Providers Recovery (CPR) Grant Program with ARPA funding.
The grant application portal launched on November 15, 2022 and while the application portal was scheduled to close on February 14, 2023, the program application period will now be extended through February 28, 2023 at 11:59pm. LACDA and our community engagement partners are pursuing outreach strategies and conducting a final push to target those licensed childcare providers located within the “Highest Need Tier” communities as identified by the COVID-19 Vulnerability and Recovery Index.
Eligible applications from Highest Need Tier providers will be funded on a rolling basis during the application period. Should funding remain at the close of the application period, eligible applications will be funded by descending Need Tier, conducting a lottery within the Need Tier if needed. Grant amounts will range from $15-$80k depending on the facility’s license size.
