Scott Hettrick, Chief Executive Officer since March 2011
Scott moved his family to Arcadia in 1991, became a member of the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in 2006, was named Business Person of the Year in 2008, and co-chaired the Government Affairs Forum for five years before being hired as full-time CEO in March 2011. He started the ArcadiasBest.com news web site and companion e-newsletter in 2007, and the non-profit community events group Arcadia’s Best Foundation in 2010, which created the Arcadia Patriotic Festival and parade in 2011, and annual One Community, One Book programs, as well as the Downtown Arcadia Christmas Market every Saturday in December 2013 and 2014. As a Board Director of the Arcadia Historical Society, he chairs the Historical Marker Committee that installed the Chamber’s 75th Anniversary marker, among many others. He is a founding member of the Downtown Arcadia Improvement Association business district, served on the Arcadia Library Board of Trustees from 2008-2012, including as Chairman in 2011-12, and is currently the President of the Arcadia Public Library Foundation. In recognition of his work with Arcadia’s Best, the Historical Society, and the downtown business district, Scott was honored with the American Planning Association‘s Distinguished Leadership Award — Citizen Planner, by both the Los Angeles and California chapters in 2011. Scott is also a 25-year entertainment business journalist, including 12 years as editor/reporter at industry trade newspapers The Hollywood Reporter, Video Business, and Daily Variety. While at Variety, he created a $1 million spin-off DVD Exclusive publication and annual awards program in Hollywood, the latter of which he produced with Dick Clark for a primetime run on the FX cable network. Since 2007 he also operates his own web sites and related e-newsletters at HollywoodInHiDef.com and 3DHollywood.net.
Born in Philadelphia, Scott also lived in Illinois before his family moved to Independence, Missouri for his teen and young adult years.

Carrie, who lives in Monrovia with her screenwriter husband Brandon, is responsible for many of the dazzling photos you see on the Chamber web site beginning with the 2015 Taste of Arcadia, and enjoys taking spectacular photos of horses, jockeys and other people and activity at Santa Anita Park most every Saturday during racing seasons.
She wrote seven stories published as ebooks from 2010-2013, including Fractious; four science-fiction and paranormal in a “Genesis” series; and two stories in a Markheim series. Carrie was also producer of films such as the feature “Wicked Bar,” the short “Angel You Know,” and the documentary “Squatter’s Wedding.”
She has been Operation Manager of Barfly Staff Monitoring Services since 2010, hiring, training, and managing staff and editing reports about service staff. She was previously a merchandiser at Z Gallerie, managing merchandise, product placement, and ordering furniture and home decor for four years.

Alexandra, who graduated UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts and Art History in June 2015, wrote and published for the Around Town and Style Guru pages of the College Fashinista web site about designers, stylists, and business owners in the Pasadena area. She was also Vice President of Chapter Relations and Standards, as well as Vice President of Philanthropy for Alpha Chi Omega, where she was involved with event planning and oversaw fundraising efforts that generated $25,000 for domestic violence survivors and their children.

Matt Miyasaki, Member Concierge since January 2016
Matt, who graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology in June 2014 from Cal State, L.A., lives in South Pasadena.
While at school he gained experience in making public presentations and produced, filmed, and edited a documentary on subculture living in Los Angeles, and developed an interest in serving the public.
Matt is also an avid USC basketball fan.
