Pasadena City College EWD presents 7th Annual Future of Work Conference on October 28th
Greetings!
Every disaster survivor has their own individual tale to tell. Collectively, however, the stories told by a community of disaster survivors create a bigger picture of the situation that caused the harm. Their realities can clarify how the activities and efforts of any one can influence and affect the realities of the others.
These are the stories and lessons we intend to talk about at the 7th Annual Future of Work Conference, hosted by the Economic and Workforce Division of Pasadena City College (PCC EWD) on October 28th on PCC’s campus of (register here). The gathering that day will include agency partners, industry representatives, and political leaders, who will help us all gain insights as to what happened this past winter and how we can reduce similar losses in the future.
One group known well for its ‘community spirit’ is featured in this week’s Podcast, where we’re talking to Victor Dominquez, the President and CEO of Metropolitan LA’s YMCA. And, as always, you’ll find relevant and supporting articles on the front page of the Pulse, a website dedicated to the concerns and queries that engage the PCC EWD. We hope you’ll choose to join us.
