Summer Conservation Tips ☀️
Summer is officially here — don’t let your water bill feel the heat too!
Water Awareness Month has ended, but here in the San Gabriel Valley, let’s continue practicing water awareness all year.
Long summer days means more sprinklers, backyard fun, and extra water use, but a few key habits can help keep costs down and conserve our precious resource💧
Here are a few outdoor water-smart tips for summer:
- Water your yard early in the morning between 6 a.m. – 9 a.m. or later in the evening after 7 p.m. to reduce evaporation.
- Consider upgrading your sprinkler system to a more water efficient option.
- Use mulch and organic compost to help retain moisture and improve soil health.
Remain conscious of your water use this summer, and stay hydrated straight from the tap!
