On Thursday, May 10th the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce joined forced with the Duarte and Monrovia Chambers to cut the ribbon at Simply Divine Apprenticeship, officially welcoming them to the neighborhood. Owner Keshia Bowen not only owns the Apprenticeship, where students can get hands on experience working with actual customers in order to learn the trade, she also owns the Simply Divine Barbershop and the Simply Divine Salon and Spa. Conveniently located on Huntington Drive in Monrovia, the salon and spa, barbershop and apprenticeship have all become popular with the community at large.
Former Arcadia Chamber president Vicki Knight presented the Mayor’s Certificate from the City of Arcadia, alongside Board Member Nikki Felix of PrimeLending, who handed out the Chamber’s certificate. Ryan Senoff from Supervisor Kathryn Barger’s office also was on hand to present a scroll. Representatives from Monrovia and Duarte did the same for their respective organizations, then Ms Bowen teared up a bit thanking her multitude of guests. Keshia treats everyone like family, and this ribbon cutting felt like a warm, family gathering.
Some of the classes included at Simply Divine Apprenticeship include microblading, the super-popular eyebrow treatment to create fuller brows. Students are treated to a fun and energetic school environment, learning all the steps necessary to become a stylist. If you are interested in one of their programs, simply go online to sign up!
