Arcadia’s Gilb Museum Celebrates 20th Anniversary
October 1, 2021 – Join the Gilb Museum in celebrating its 20th Anniversary on Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 10am to 12pm. Celebrate the legacy of the Gilb Museum by experiencing the new 20th Anniversary exhibit, taking a guided tour through the Museum, and getting a behind-the-scenes look at the Museum’s collections. You can also check out the Museum Education Center and watch demonstrations of current (and upcoming) educational programs at the Museum.
The Gilb Museum of Arcadia Heritage opened on October 20, 2001, as the Ruth & Charles Gilb Arcadia Historical Museum, named after its lead donors. The Museum was designed by Sparano + Mooney Architecture and recognized in World Architecture and Architecture and Urbanism magazine. The Gilb Museum is maintained and operated by the City of Arcadia. Through City support, the Museum can offer free admission, as well as free programming. It houses artifacts representative of local Arcadia history and culture from the past and present, including in depth exhibits focusing on the Baldwin family, Native American culture, Santa Anita Racetrack, and more.
