Announcing! More Easy Ways to Pay Your Fare.
Whether you’re headed to a summer festival, a day with friends, or your next local adventure, paying your fare has never been more convenient.
Contactless Debit & Credit Cards (New!)
Now you can pay your fare with a contactless debit or credit card. Simply tap your physical card or mobile wallet on the validator near the bus door, and the adult fare will be charged automatically.
Plus, two-hour transfers are included when you use the same physical card or mobile wallet for each trip. Keep in mind that a physical card and its digital version are treated as separate payment methods by the TAP system.
As always, we also accept the following:
- Cash – Insert bills or coins (no pennies) into the farebox one at a time. Exact change is required.
- TAP – Tap your TAP card or the TAP LA app on the blue circle on the farebox and listen for the beep.

Take Transit: Add Movement to Your Day.
Strong, flexible hips and knees are essential for staying active and independent. Regular stretching and strengthening can help improve mobility, reduce discomfort, and support balance and stability. Even simple daily activities like walking and climbing stairs can help keep your joints healthy.
Taking Foothill Transit is a great way to add movement to your day. Walking to and from your bus stop and staying active while waiting for your ride can help keep your muscles engaged and your joints moving. A little activity each day can go a long way toward helping you stay strong, flexible, and ready for wherever the day takes you.
