EWD Pulse Newsletter – Los Angeles Grows Toward Recovery
Greetings!
It’s been a difficult year in the LA Basin, as political activities and ‘natural’ disasters caused chaos and devastation. Despite these difficulties, the City has pressed on, finalizing venues and transport options for the 2026 FIFA soccer games while moving toward completion of its 2028 Olympic obligations.
The focus on recovery and rebuilding has paid off, at least in terms of employment. By maintaining their efforts to sustain momentum on both initiatives, the City and County of LA contributed to California’s addition of over 130,000 jobs between April 2025 and March 2026, the most of any state during that period. Continued focus on completing Olympic requirements will certainly enhance this already significant achievement.
On today’s Podcast, we’re talking about PCC’s Wildland Fire Academy with PCC’s Dean of Business and Enrollment Management, Mathew Barboza. And readers will find related information and insightful commentary on our Pulse newsletter website. Please join the conversation!
