LA County Cooling Center for Excessive Heat Warning Days

The Los Angeles County Office of Emergency Management continues to coordinate with City partners and is awaiting verification of/approval to share city-owned/operated Cooling Center locations. They will continuously update the Cooling Center list as necessary throughout the heat season.

County “Augmented Cooling Centers” are activated in any zone when a 2+ day Excessive Heat Warning is in effect and standard Cooling Center sites will not be available – typically this applies to Sundays and County holidays. Hours of augmented services will be determined on an event-specific basis. For the Fifth District, all County operated sites on the attached list with the exception of the Antelope Valley Senior Center can/will provide augmented services when criteria are met. During heat events, the Lacounty.gov/heat webpage will be updated in near real-time.
