Mark Your Calendar: Future of Work Returns June 4
The Altadena rebuild is underway, but the work of rebuilding is just getting started.
On June 4, 2026, Pasadena City College’s Future of Work webinar series opens with a working conversation on the public-interest layer of that recovery: the public services, nonprofit delivery, and civic coordination holding the community together while rebuilding ramps up.
Featured Session: June 4, 2026 | 10 am – 12 pm PST
Future of Work: Public Interest Rebuild & Community Delivery Systems
Our first webinar brings together regional recovery leaders for a candid look at:
- The current state of recovery on the ground, what’s working, where efforts are fragmented, and where the most urgent gaps remain
- Where workforce fits into the equation, including high-need roles and whether the talent pipeline is keeping pace
- What equitable recovery looks like in practice
- How PCC and regional partners can better align to accelerate impact in the months ahead
Featured panelists from across county government, regional philanthropy, community-based organizations, and the rebuild effort will be announced soon.
Why a Webinar Series?
In 2026, the Future of Work Conference is becoming a three-part webinar series, a format built to respond directly to the workforce demands accelerating across the region. Each session focuses on a specific high-need sector, the virtual format reduces barriers for those impacted by displacement, and the year-long arc sustains visibility, relationship-building, and employer collaboration well beyond what a single event could deliver.
Save the Dates (all sessions 10 am – 12 pm PST):
- June 4, 2026: Public Interest: Rebuild & Community Delivery Systems
- September 3, 2026: Resilient Infrastructure & Environmental Recovery
- November 5, 2026: Rebuilding the Talent Pipeline
Looking forward to the first discussion on June 4th,
