What is being built in Arcadia? Tim Schwehr shares with the Arcadia Community Coordinating Council on February 3, 2020
Have you ever wondered what is happening in Arcadia? Come and see what is currently being built, what’s about to start and what is being considered in the future. There is a strong interest in multi-family housing and mixed use development as well as new hotel and medical facilities. There is a continued challenge with big box retail, pharmacies, grocery stores and traditional retail shops. Where does the city stand?
Tim Schwehr is the Senior Economic Development Analyst for the City of Arcadia. He currently serves as lead staff for the City of Arcadia’s Economic Development Division. In this role, Tim oversees efforts to attract new businesses and development, works with regional organizations to foster economic growth, and acts as the city’s liaison to the business community.
Prior to his current position, Tim worked for seven years as a city planner, during which time he developed a planning-based approach to Economic Development. He has a Bachelor in Political Science from the University of Washington, and Master in Urban and Regional Planning from the Cal Poly Pomona. Tim is originally from Seattle but moved to L.A. in 2003 for the sunny weather and Southern California lifestyle.
