Upcoming Events in May at the LA County Arboretum
Our monthly wellness programs include Forest Bathing, Goat Yoga, and Sound Baths. We also have after-hours hikes curated just for families and adults.
Forest Bathing: Second Sundays at Sunset – The Arboretum
Our Forest Bathing experience is led by a rotating roster of guides, all certified by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, on the second Sunday of each month. Participants are led through a grounding sensory practice followed by a series of thoughtful invitations that encourage personal exploration and connection with the more-than-human world. After each invitation, the group gathers to share reflections, and the experience concludes with a shared herbal tisane.
Members: $25 / Non-members: $35
Goat Yoga with Hello Critter – The Arboretum
Goat Yoga offers a lighthearted experience; communing with gentle goats while engaging in a fun, light-hearted practice taught by a certified yoga instructor. Participants connect with their “inner kid” while moving through a sequence suitable for all levels; from first timers who ”just came for the goats” to experienced yogis looking for a new challenge.
Members: $35 / Non-members: $45
Sound Baths at The Arboretum offer a meditative experience in which participants are “bathed” in sound waves created by deeply resonant acoustic instruments such as singing bowls and gongs. Rather than listening to music, participants are immersed in vibration, allowing sound to move through the body and nervous system. As the tones unfold, tension may gently release, the mind may quiet, and a meditative state can emerge—often leaving participants feeling reset, clear, and refreshed.
Members: $15 / Non-members: $20
Adult Night Hikes – The Arboretum
Family Night Hikes – The Arboretum
In addition, our Night Hike programs offer monthly family and adult events which feature different themes each month. These guided programs offer an exclusive look at the Arboretum after dark. This experience features a relaxed, easy-paced walk through the gardens with frequent stops for storytelling, discussion, and sensory exploration—inviting participants to slow down and connect with the landscape in a deeper, more reflective way.
Members: $20 / Non-members: $25
