Upper Water May News Splash
Water Awareness Month💧
May is Water Awareness Month, a time to recognize the value of our most precious resource and the role we all play in protecting it. As temperatures rise and outdoor water use increases, small everyday choices can make a big impact on our basin’s long‑term water reliability.
Upper Water was proud to kick off Water Awareness Month with our annual WaterFest event on May 2nd, bringing together the community for a day of learning, conservation, and celebration. The event’s success was made possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and the presence of our partners, whose continued commitment strengthens our shared mission.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating WaterFest and supporting a sustainable water future. We look forward to continuing this important work together throughout Water Awareness Month and beyond!

U.S. Forest Service Award Recognition

Last month, Upper Water was honored by the U.S. Forest Service for our ongoing contributions to watershed health in the Angeles National Forest. This recognition highlights the long‑standing success of Upper Water’s Watershed Restoration Program, a key part of our conservation efforts since 1991.
For more than three decades, this program has supported the restoration of native habitats, improved forest health, and strengthened the resilience of our local watershed.
Each year, volunteers join Upper Water and the U.S. Forest Service to help protect the natural landscape that feeds our region’s water supply.
We extend our sincere thanks to the dedicated volunteers and partners who make this work possible!
