In Honor of Earth Day, Volunteer to Restore Our Watershed!
In honor of Earth Day, join Upper Water and the U.S. Forest Service in a special Watershed Restoration Program event — something that you can take part in this month and make a difference!
Volunteers of all ages are welcome to show their support for the environment! This program has been an integral part of Upper Water’s conservation portfolio since 1991 and has been successful in helping maintain a healthy watershed and reducing negative impacts on our local groundwater. The event consists of families and organizations planting trees in the Crystal Lake area of the San Gabriel Mountains. It is a fun and meaningful way for families and friends to spend time together while making a positive change! Community service hours will be provided for any youth organization participants. To register and learn more, visit https://upperdistrict.org/watershed-restoration/.

Upper Water is excited to announce the return of its Residential Plant Voucher Program, offering residents within the service area an opportunity to create beautiful, drought-tolerant landscapes while conserving water. This initiative aligns with our commitment to providing innovative solutions that support sustainability and safeguard our community’s water resources.
Starting April 7, 2025, eligible residents can apply for a plant voucher, which can be redeemed at Garden View Nursery in Irwindale for drought-tolerant plants. The program will remain open until funding is exhausted, so early applications are encouraged!
Once an application is submitted, Upper Water staff will verify eligibility and provide a unique voucher number. Approved participants will also receive a list of pre-approved plants available for selection at the nursery.
