SANTA ANITA PARK INTRODUCES THE FIRST-EVER ‘WINTERFEST’ FOR THE 2018 HOLIDAY SEASON; ICE SKATING RINK, CHRISTMAS TREE LOT, SANTA CLAUS, AND MORE THAN 80-VENDORS AWAIT FANS
ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 27, 2018)—Santa Anita Park announces the first-ever Winterfest to be held at The Great Race Place this November 23 through December 23. With countless offerings for entire the family, Santa Anita Park’s Infield will be bustling throughout this holiday season leading up to the traditional Opening Day of the winter meeting on December 26.
General Admission to experience this winter wonderland will be just $5 with free parking included. Winterfest will be open every Friday (3 p.m. – 11 p.m.), Saturday (11 a.m. – 11 p.m.) and Sunday (11 a.m. – 7 p.m.)
Winterfest will feature a Christmas tree lot, the opportunity to meet and take a photo with Santa Claus, horse-drawn carriage rides, Santa’s Village with gingerbread, wreath and ornament making, Santa’s petting zoo, carolers, giant inflatable bounce houses, live music and DJ’s, seasonal fare, more than 80 pop-up vendors perfect for shopping, and introducing, the first-ever ice skating rink at The Great Race Place!
Multiple online packages are available to experience more of Winterfest and can be purchased through Santa Anita’s Events page. These additional packages include an unlimited skate season pass, Winterfest 3-day skate pass, Snow Day 4-pack for the family and other family-friendly packages.
TO INTRODUCE OUR NEWEST VENTURE, SANTA ANITA PARK WOULD LIKE TO INVITE ALL LOCAL MEDIA AND SOCIAL INFLUENCERS TO A HOSTED EVENT, SUNDAY NOVEMBER 4.
Media Day will include free admission to the 100-to-1 Club for a day full of live Thoroughbred Racing, alongside hosted cocktails and holiday fare for sampling prior to being offered at this year’s inaugural Winterfest.
Time: 12 noon – 4 p.m.
Upon arrival:
Guests will be greeted with Austrian mulled wine and roasted chestnuts.
