More than 1.2 million fans attended Santa Anita Park in 2014 and bet more than $1.5 billion. And that was just for racing events. Another 218,000 attended 180 non-racing events at the iconic track, 40% of which are focused on food and beverages. And that doesn’t include the 23 movies, TV shows, and commercials that filmed at the venue.
These are just a few of the highlights of the presentation by Pete Siberell, Director of Community Services and Special Projects at Santa Anita, and Dan Cirimele, Senior Director of Marketing, at the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce Planning Conference Thursday (Jan. 22, 2015).
