Do You Know the Signs of Human Trafficking?
Human trafficking can happen anywhere and affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, race, or background. Traffickers may be strangers, family members, or people in positions of trust.
Your awareness could help save a life! Here are warning signs that may indicate someone is a victim of human trafficking. A single sign alone may not confirm trafficking, but multiple signs together can be a red flag.
Victims may:
- Appear fearful, anxious, or withdrawn
- Be closely watched or controlled
- Lack access to money or personal items
- Show signs of physical abuse
- Avoid eye contact or seem afraid to speak
- Have someone else answer questions or speak for them
If something feels wrong, say something.

Three Hot Transit Tips
Even with the best intentions, New Year’s resolutions can slip away but your commute could help you stick to them.
- Get healthier. Choosing to walk, bike, or take transit adds physical activity to your daily routine.
- Keep more money in your pocket. Swapping solo driving for carpooling or transit can cut your commuting costs significantly.
- Reclaim your time and reduce stress. Shared rides and transit can reduce congestion so you spend less time behind the wheel and more time where it matters, with family or doing what you love.
