Habitat for Humanity Empowers Women with Women Build – Join the Next Event on May 9
San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity is rebuilding homes and hope in Altadena helping families return after the Eaton Fire. This month we Celebrate Women Build a national Habitat for Humanity movement that empowers women to pick up a hammer and build homes, stability, and hope for families in need. Women especially women of color, single mothers, and single women over 50 face barriers to homeowners. Women Build advocates for more funding to help support affordable homeownership in your community.

We invite you to celebrate at our Women Build event on May 9. All are welcome to enjoy a meaningful day of camaraderie and service as we build benches to present as gifts to the homeowners as we welcome them back to Altadena. Most homeowners expressed to SGV Habitat what they missed most about their home was sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful, majestic mountains. Please feel free to share this email with members. Although the name of the event is Women Build—all are welcome to participate.
