Art Contest Celebrating Arcadia’s 121st Birthday
Arcadia, CA – Showcase your creativity by creating an illustration to celebrate the City of Arcadia’s 121st birthday!
Whether it’s the stunning mountains, the iconic Route 66 bridge, or the majestic Thoroughbred horses, participants are encouraged to illustrate what they believe best represents the spirit of the community. This contest is open to all, and submissions must be made by July 8 at 5:30 p.m. One selected design will be featured on giveaway items for the community.

SPECIFICATION
- No larger than 8 ¾” W x 3 ½” H
- Digital designs only, no hand-drawn submissions.
- Consider using free programs like Canva, Adobe Express, or VistaCreate
- Include both color and one-tone versions of your design.
ARTIST SELECTION PROCESS
Applications must be submitted by July 8, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., to the City of Arcadia, using the form below.
The Arcadia Beautiful Commission will select the design.

RULES & REGULATIONS
Your submission of an application indicates that you agree with the following:
- There will be no compensation for the submissions, whether selected or not.
- Submission(s) and their contents will automatically become the property of the City of Arcadia. By submitting a work, you agree that the City of Arcadia will acquire all intellectual property rights to use any submission(s) and their content that the City accepts. The City shall have the right to repurpose the work for other uses.
- The City of Arcadia may use or redistribute the submissions and their contents for any purpose and in any way.
- The Arcadia Beautiful Commission reserves the right to disqualify, at its sole and absolute discretion, any submission(s) that does not adhere to these criteria.
- Must be original and cannot violate or infringe upon the copyright, trademark, right of privacy, publicity, or other right of any person or entity.
- The proposed artwork cannot contain trademark images, logos, tag lines, or in any way be thematically linked to a commercial business, establishment, product, or service.
- To the extent the uses or removal of the Artwork affect any rights the Artist may have under provisions of federal or state law, including the 1990 Visual Artists’ Rights Act and the California Art Preservation Act, the Artist hereby knowingly waives any rights of preservation of the artwork provided by those laws.
