The new Council Members will be sworn in during a reorganization ceremony in City Council chambers next Tuesday, April 15, during which Mayor Mickey Segal and two termed-out Council Members Bob Harbicht and Peter Amundson will be saluted. Mayor Pro Tem John Wuo and Gary Kovacic are the lone two Council Members remaining on the Council.
At his election night party hosted by Kin Hui’s Singpoli offices in Arcadia, Tay told media and supporters that he intends to follow through on his campaign pledges to work to unify the various cultures in town, to support and promote local businesses, and to find financial savings for the city and residents.
Chandler has supported major business developments in the past such as his enthusiastic endorsement of the once-proposed Shops at Santa Anita, which has since been abandoned.
