For the upcoming June 5th Government Affairs Forum, the guest speaker will be Arcadia Police Chief Bob Guthrie.
Chief Guthrie started with the Arcadia Police Department in 1989 as a Police Cadet and was sworn in as a Police Officer in 1992. Over the decades he worked his way up through the ranks of the department and commanded units including the Field Training Officer Program, Force Training Unit, SWAT Team, and Detective Bureau. Guthrie was sworn in as Police Chief in 2011.
A discussion of pending legislation and other updates will be provided by representatives from City, County, and State government offices, the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension and the Monrovia-Arcadia-Duarte Town Council.
The public is invited on the first Thursday of each month at 8AM to hear informative presentations at the Government Affairs Forum led by Chairman Jack Orswell from Orswell & Kasman, Inc. Environmental Assessments & Consulting, and co-chairman Pete Ulrich, former Arcadia City Councilman. The Forum is sponsored by Foothill Credit Union and held at the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce located at 388 W. Huntington Drive.
