Custom Comfort PJ party a smash

Custom Comfort Mattress not only knows how to make customized mattresses the old-fashioned (and best) way, they also know how to host a multi-Chamber of Commerce mixer.
Thursday’s Pajama Party mixer, organized and coordinated primarily by Sepand Ardeshir, attracted more than 50 attendees, about half of whom wore their PJ’s, from four different Chambers — Arcadia, Burbank, Pasadena, and San Gabriel.

There was great networking from many fresh faces and terrific food and beverages provided by Arcadia Chamber members Dogfellas of Long Beach, Whole Foods Market of Hastings Ranch in Pasadena, deviled eggs by Fair Oaks Regency, the famous delicious chocolate chip cookies from DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton in Monrovia, and a hosted bar with zingy drinks mixed by Daleth Cortes and others from Custom Comfort.

More than two dozen attendees in their PJ’s helped showcase the store’s massive 9-foot x 9-foot mattress by posing as a group on the “Family”-sized bed. An informative demo let attendees know all the advantages built in to Custom Comfort mattresses, which feature the same techniques used in mattresses of decades ago that have been abandoned my many manufacturers as a cost-saving measure. Among these are buttons that bunch and tighten the cotton to ensure it does not spread out and create an uneven surface, as well as inserting materials to allow the mattress to be used on both sides instead of just one. Custom Comfort also brings new technologies in its mattresses, such as a layer over the springs to prevent material from sinking down into the springs which creates uneven surafces.

More than a dozen attendees went home extra happy with terrific raffle prizes donated by Chamber members, including a beautiful gift from one of the evening’s sponsors. MD’s Florist of Arcadia.
Custom Comfort enjoyed promotion of their store on Lake Avenue in Pasadena and the event itself by all four Chambers, including the Arcadia Chamber’s digital LED signs seen by 40,000 cars each day.
