About us
The East San Gabriel Valley Coalition for the Homeless (ESGVCH) is a non-profit 501c3, incorporated in 1994 and has served on the front lines in the battle against homelessness for almost 30 years. During these many years, ESGVCH has worked collaboratively with the SGV community to provide stabilizing resources for people experiencing homeliness or near homelessness. The ESGVCH operates under a voluntary board of directors who believe we are all called to turn attention beyond ourselves and assist those who suffer economic deprivation; especially the poor, the hungry, and those without a home.
Emergency Assistance Center (EAC)
With pride, ESGVCH’s EAC office offers support to anyone who comes to us in need: providing hot meals, lunches to go, hygiene items, clothing, diapers, socks/underwear, DMV vouchers, bus passes, motel vouchers for temporary shelter, health referrals and transportation for scheduled appointments. Additionally, the ESGVCH works tirelessly to connect families and individuals to other available resources we are unable to provide.
Help!
There is not just one face to homelessness. Homelessness effects the elderly, disabled, single parents, families, emancipated youth out of foster care, veterans and children. There are many reasons why someone becomes homeless; most are tragic.
We need your help. We believe that regardless of our present circumstances, we are all Children of God and everyone deserves to be treated with respect, dignity and compassion. The ESGVCH recognizes that these are lofty goals, but every day, in our interaction with those we serve, we strive to reach these goals.
Because of a lack of available funding in the San Gabriel Valley, we are turning to you to help us continue to provide the humanitarian serveses we have provided to so many people for so many years.
