Mark Your Calendar! 2023 Concerts and Movies in the Park
The City of Arcadia proudly announces the 2023 free Summer Concert & Movie series every Thursday from June 22 through August 3, 2023. Concerts will begin at 6:30pm and movies at dusk. Kids can enjoy the fun zone area with plenty of games, crafts, and activities.
The events will be held at City Hall Lawn located at 240 West Huntington Drive between City Hall and the Police Department. Free parking will be available at City Hall and Santa Anita Park, Gate 5.
JUNE 22, ELECTRIC VINYL, MINIONS: RISE OF GRU, AND ENVIRONMENTAL FAIR
Electric Vinyl (Classic Rock) – Electric Vinyl recreates the legendary music & concert experience from Aerosmith to Fleetwood Mac to Bon Jovi to Van Halen, the band covers them all! Minions: Rise of Gru (PG) – The untold story of one twelve-year-old’s dream to become the world’s greatest supervillain.
Environmental Fair – Join us this evening and learn about the environment. Visit vendors for information and giveaways.
JUNE 29, BEACH ST. A GO GO AND HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA: TRANSFORMANIA
Beach St. a Go Go (60s) – Introducing BEACH St. A GoGo! The audience will be treated to groovy music and stories defining a generation. Hotel Transylvania: Transformania (PG) – After one experiment, Johnny turns into a monster and everyone else becomes human. Now it must be seen whether they will be able to reverse this experiment.
JULY 6, MOBILITY U.S. AIR FORCE BAND AND LIGHTYEAR Mobility, U.S. Air Force Band (Rock) – Mobility is the high, energy rock band of the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West. Lightyear (PG) – While spending years attempting to return home, Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear encounters an army of ruthless robots commanded by Zurg who are attempting to steal his fuel source.
JULY 13, SOTO BAND AND VIVO
Soto Band (Latin Oldies) – Soto Band brings soulful ballads, Latin rhythms, hot dance grooves and high-energy choreography. Vivo (PG) – Vivo, a musical adventure featuring songs from Lin-Manuel Miranda, will take audiences on an epic adventure to gorgeous and vibrant locations never seen in animation.
JULY 20, KELLY RAE BAND AND LITTLE GIANTS
Kelly Rae Band (Country) – Kelly Rae Band plays a range of country music from Patsy Cline & Johnny Cash to the most current artists. Little Giants (PG) – Misfits form their own opposing team to an elite peewee football team, coached by the elite team coach’s brother.
JULY 27, BUFFETT BEACH AND PAWS OF FURY: THE LEGEND OF HANK
Buffett Beach (Jimmy Buffett Tribute) – Buffett Beach brings the ultimate Jimmy Buffett & the Coral Reefer band experience! Buffett Beach plays spot-on homage to the large-scale Jimmy Buffett shows we all love! Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank (PG) – Hank, a loveable dog, dreams about becoming a samurai, and sets off in search of his destiny.
AUGUST 3, ARCADIA’S 120TH BIRTHDAY, NATIONAL NIGHT OUT, COLD DUCK, AND PUSS IN BOOTS: THE LAST WISH
Cold Duck (70s/Top 40s) – Cold Duck’s philosophy has been responsible for their continued success: “Give the people what they want to hear and have a good time delivering it!” Cold Duck continues its tradition of excellent musicianship and grooving rhythms. Let’s dance the night away! Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (PG) – Puss in Boots discovers his passion for adventure has taken its toll when he learns he has burnt through eight of his nine lives. National Night Out and Arcadia’s 120th Birthday – National Night Out promotes crime prevention and awareness through police community partnerships. Arcadia’s Police Department and Fire Department will be present along with Arcadia Police SWAT Team, K-9’s and Area Commanders. There will be free fingerprinting, an obstacle course for kids, and much more!
We will also celebrate the City’s 120th birthday. Enjoy a cupcake and a birthday t-shirt as well as special activities to celebrate the special occasion.
