Community Services Officer Mike Vercillo will provide tips on how to protect yourself against terrorism and other crime as our guest speaker at the Government Affairs Forum at 8 a.m. Thursday, February 4.
A discussion of pending legislation and other updates will be provided by representatives from City, County, and State government offices, the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension and the Monrovia-Arcadia-Duarte Town Council.

Mike Vercillo was born in the Chicago area. Following high school, he move
d to California with his parents in 1967, and has been a resident of Arcadia ever since. After attending California State University Los Angeles, Mike married his college sweetheart, had two children, and now has seven grandchildren.
He became a partner in an automotive business in the Alhambra area, which had five locations and almost 80 employees.
In 2004, he became part of Homeland Security as the Safety Office for the Airport Police in Burbank. In 2007, Mike was hired by the Arcadia Police Department to assist in supervising the Jail, where he served in that capacity for six years.
As Community Services Officer, Mike directs Crime Prevention and Community Outreach Programs.
