Attendees of the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce’s monthly Government Affairs Forum on Thursday, Jan. 7, will be treated to a fascinating and informative overview of the L.A. County Assessor’s office and helpful presentations on:
- Homeowner’s exemption
- Parent-child exclusions
- Senior citizen’s replacement dwelling benefit
This month’s featured speaker is Carol W. Quan, Special Assistant, Public Affairs in the Los Angeles County Office of the Assessor.
As always, the Forum that runs from 8 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.-ish also includes a discussion of pending legislation and other updates provided by representatives from City, County, and State government offices, the Monrovia-Arcadia-Duarte Town Council, and others.
Carol Quan was raised in Los Angeles and graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Certificate in Business and Administration.
Mrs. Quan has worked for more than 29 years at the Los Angeles County Office of the Assessor. She began her career in 1986 as a real property appraiser trainee and has risen through the ranks in assignments ranging from property valuations to special investigations. She now works in Public Affairs under the administration of Los Angeles County Assessor Jeffrey Prang.
