Jason began with the San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District in July of 2013 as a Vector Control Specialist. He was promoted to his current position as Public Information Officer in June 2014 where he manages District communications, education and public outreach. He is a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the Collins College in 2004. He is currently working on his master’s degree at the University of La Verne.
Jason started his professional career with the Italian restaurant company Buca di Beppo where he spent twelve years in a variety of positions; most notably the Executive Chef in Valencia, California and Paisano Partner (General Manager) in Encino, California. In 2011 he moved to a different sector of the hospitality industry and spent three years with Passport Advisory Group, one of the nation’s premier hospitality real estate advisory groups. As a licensed Real Estate salesperson in the state of California he worked as an analyst and broker, and advised investors on hotel and restaurant acquisitions and dispositions.
Jason also sits on the Executive Board for the Collins Hospitality Society where he recently wrapped up a term as President and currently holds a Director position. He currently resides in Upland, California with his wife Katelyn and they are expecting their first child in December of 2014.

A discussion of pending legislation and other updates will be provided by representatives from City, County, and State government offices, the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension and the Monrovia-Arcadia-Duarte Town Council.
