Healing Through Story
“When we’re caught up in a crisis, creativity is the path out of it.”
– Luis J. Rodriguez, author and former Poet Laureate of Los Angeles
Recently, LA County Board of Supervisors Chair Kathryn Barger helped highlight a resource made available by LA County’s Department of Arts and Culture and the Department of Mental Health.
This valuable resource, called “Healing Through Story: A Toolkit on Grassroots Approaches”, fosters well-being, connection, and healing through sharing, listening, and art.
If you or your community has been searching for community-building methods that call attention to listening, facilitation, and includes interviews with community groups on how we heal: Get Connected (link opens in new tab).
