Los Angeles Region Small Business Summit
Presented by the County and City of Los Angeles in celebration of National Small Business Week
Join the County of Los Angeles, City of Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office for a free in-person Small Business Summit. This event is a County-City partnership that seeks to help small businesses recover, grow, and thrive by bringing together the Region’s top free business resources, services, and programs – all in one place! This event will include panel discussions, a resource expo that convenes all major public and private providers of free business support, on-site free services, and much more

Legal Aid and Consultation: Whether you need help drafting a contract or negotiating, legal help is available to support you through a County/City partnership. Speak to an expert at the event to determine your needs and how we may be able to assist you.
Business Certification Clinic : Certification can be very confusing as different levels of government have different certifications that are not always recognized by all entities. This is your one stop shop to speak to representatives from City, County, State, and Federal government about the certifications your business qualifies for and how they can help you win contracts from public and private entities!
Business Assessment: Business consultants and counselors will be on site to provide you a business assessment to help you determine which services your business needs.
Credit and Debt Consultation: Access to capital starts with a healthy credit score. Learn how to get there with financial counseling and targeted support to small business owners. Get the advice you need to get your business to the next level!
Procurement Support: Connect to procurement experts from Federal, State, County, and City departments. Get answers directly from experts from each each level of government that will help you access contracting opportunities.
Opportunity to pitch for community level contracts at the event:
Friday Night Lights: The Mayor’s Office of Community Safety works in collaboration with community-based organizations, law enforcement and other city departments to provide a safe, positive environment for youth in some of our most underserved communities. In addition, the program highlights resources related to domestic violence prevention, post-secondary education, access to employment, and educational opportunities for teens and young adults. This programs holds multiple events throughout the summer. This is an opportunity to pitch and win contracts of up to $25,000!!! We are looking for vendors that provide event-related services, including food, rentals, music, etc. Some contracts may be announced the same day!

The LA County Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) is disbursing over $54 million across 6,800 grants for small and microbusinesses and nonprofit agencies through the Economic Opportunity Grants Program (EOG), prioritizing the most COVID-impacted regions and organizations in LA County.
