Mortgage Relief Available for Rental Property Owners
The Department of Consumer and Business Affairs (DCBA) would like to announce that the application portal for their ARP-funded Mortgage Relief Program (MRP) will open on June 21, 2023. The goal of this program is to provide financial relief to property owners in historically underserved and vulnerable communities to alleviate their tenant’s COVID-19 rental and utilities debt. They are partnering with Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles County to disburse $4,000,000 in grant funding (up to $30,000 per grant), with a focus on mom & pop landlords, for the purpose of eliminating COVID-19-related mortgage and/or utilities debt as a result of delinquent/outstanding rent payments caused by the pandemic.
