What could be better than a summertime MIX on the rooftop of Dave & Buster’s at Westfield Santa Anita? The hot weather d
idn’t keep away the 60 or so people who came to enjoy the great food and drinks the venue had to offer. The spread included sliders, meatballs, chicken wings and their famous spinach cheese dip, complete with fresh chips. A fruit platter and dessert completed the menu, with the added surprise of birthday-girl Carmen Richardson providing home-made cupcakes. Guests also took a moment to sing Happy Birthday to Carmen, whose business Chef Carmen’s 3 C’s has become a catering favorite among Chamber members.
After enjoying some time to network and get to know some of the new faces among the crowd, Chamber members gathered for a raffle and shared some laughter as Past President Vicki Knight and Chamber CEO Karen Mac Nair drew names and gave out prizes. Some lucky winners included Brooke Perez of Longo Toyota, who won an insulted grocery bag courtesy of Annette Ousterhout of Jan’s Towing; Rod Salazar of Stubbies Promotions won a book by Laura Wilcox; Rosa Jaime of Four Seasons Tea Roo
m won a sweatshirt courtesy of Dave & Buster’s; and Cissy Huang of CH Financial got a pair of headphones. Multiple guests also won various salon treatments from 1st Avenue Salon. 
Though there won’t be a MIX in September due to the fabulous Taste of Arcadia, we will have our famous Pajama Party mixer at Custom Comfort in October. Stay tuned for more details!
