SoCalGas Announced the Angeles Link Green Hydrogen Energy Infrastructure System for So Cal
Today SoCalGas announced the Angeles Link, a green hydrogen energy infrastructure system for Southern California.
The proposed Angeles Link would deliver green hydrogen to the Los Angeles Basin for use in dispatchable electric generation, hard to electrify manufacturing, and heavy-duty transportation, creating a cornerstone for California’s hydrogen economy.
Serving customers in these sectors with green hydrogen would advance California’s energy transformation, bringing dramatic reductions in greenhouse gases and hazardous air pollutants, and helping to maintain a reliable electricity grid.
Green hydrogen’s role as a solution for hard to electrify sectors of our economy is widely recognized by scientists, local partners like LADWP, our state and federal governments, and environmental, labor, and business organizations.
The involvement of stakeholders like you is vital to realizing green hydrogen’s benefits and achieving California’s climate goals. As a valued partner of SoCalGas, we encourage you to share this exciting announcement with your networks.
Thank you so much for your continued partnership and support, and please feel free to reach out if I can provide additional information.
