The Los Angeles County Development Authority (LACDA) has launched the First Time Home Ownership Program targeted at moderate-income households earning up to 120% AMI (HOP120).
HOP120 provides a second mortgage loan for first-time homebuyers with assistance up to $85,000, or 20% of the purchase price, whichever is less. Eligible properties are single-family homes, townhomes, and condominiums with a maximum purchase price of $850,000 and must be in unincorporated Los Angeles County or participating cities. This program is funded through the State’s Permanent Local Housing Program (PLHA) and administered by the LACDA.
