Tom Tait, Arcadia Public Works Director, to Speak at the Arcadia Community Coordinating Council March Meeting Tom Tait, Director of Public Works for the City of Arcadia, is the guest speaker for the Arcadia Community Coordinating Council’s meeting next Monday, March 4th at 11:30 at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Arcadia. Tom will give a behind the scenes look at all of the City’s existing and future projects that affecting Arcadia residents and businesses on a daily basis. It promises to be very enlightening!
Under the direction of the Public Works Services Director, Tom Tait, the Public Works Services Department oversees the care and maintenance of all City owned facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. The Department is also responsible for the planning and implementation of numerous projects included in the City’s Capital Improvement Program. The Program outlines capital projects that are scheduled for a five-year period. These projects may include such things as road and sidewalk improvements, tree projects, park/playground equipment, building maintenance, water and sewer
maintenance and improvements, traffic signals, park maintenance and related matters.
About the ARCADIA COMMUNITY COORDINATING COUNCIL (ACCC): The ACCC provides the opportunity for community groups to share information about their upcoming projects and events and post their events on the ACCC Community Calendar of events on which all events in Arcadia are promoted. In addition, the ACCC sponsors the Arcadia Campership Program enabling low-income Arcadia children to attend summer camp. The public is encouraged to attend the monthly meetings and new members are cordially invited. Cost is $20 at the door, which includes lunch.
