The Arcadia Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors welcomed seven new members at a very well-attended morning gathering in the Chamber conference room sponsored by Foothill Credit Union. Each new member was presented with a plaque by Ambassador Chair Rich Jones of the San Marino Tribune, Personal Ambassador of the Month John Sun of Budget Blinds, and Chamber CEO Scott Hettrick:

Meghan Sikes accepted the new member plaque on behalf of National University. Meghan indicates that National University with a campus in Los Angeles and new one coming to Glendale is the perfect place to continue your education and reach your goals. Dave Levine of The Computer Guys along with his son – the other guy in computer guys — are ready to solve all of your computer problems. They are a family run business and do they know their stuff. Raquel McLaughlin and her Mom Jeanette Beraha of Vintage Treasures & Antiques Arcadia were present and so very, very thrilled about joining the Chamber of Commerce. They carry vintage 50’s and 60’s clothing, collectibles and have one of the largest collections of costume jewelry in the San Gabriel Valley. In fact, they carry so many vintage items we could not possibly describe them all in this article so, you will just have to visit their store located at 340 East Foothill Blvd. in Arcadia.
Raquel and Jeanette believe in giving back to the community and therefore are hosting a Vintage Fashion Show on Saturday, October 18th at their store. All proceeds will benefit the City of Hope. Julie Chirikian of Arcadia Gardens Retirement Hotel, located at 720 W. Camino Real in Arcadia, has been a part of our community for years. Julie took over operation of this beautiful retirement facility after the passing of her parents. Arcadia Gardens has been in operation for over 30 years right here in Arcadia. She and her dedicated staff offer many levels of care for our seniors.
