Jobs and the workforce in the region will be the topic covered by the speaker June 6 at the last Government Affairs Forum for the summer, along with the regular monthly updates from City officials and local county, state and national legislative offices.
Frances Le is a Senior Benefits Advisor at the U.S. Department of Labor Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) in Pasadena. She joined EBSA in April 2000 as a Benefits Advisor, where she provided excellent customer service and was a valued member of the Los Angeles Regional Office Outreach Education and Assistance team. In 2005 she joined the Office of Enforcement as an Investigator, where she expanded her knowledge of Employee Retirement Income Security Act and gained additional experience investigating a wide range of civil and criminal cases. In addition, she also served as the Freedom of Information Act coordinator. Prior to joining EBSA, Frances spent six years as a Tax Auditor with the IRS. She has a B.S. in Finance from California State University – Los Angeles.
The public is invited at 8 a.m. on the first Thursday of each month (except July & August) to hear free informative presentations at the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce’s monthly Government Affairs Forum sponsored by Keystone 365 Sponsor Singpoli. Led by Chairman Jack Orswell from Orswell & Kasman, Inc. Environmental Assessments & Consulting, and co-chairman Pete Ulrich, former Arcadia City Councilman, the Forums are held in the Chamber’s conference room sponsored by Foothill Credit Union.
A discussion of pending legislation and other updates will be provided by representatives from City, County, and State government offices, the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension and the Monrovia-Arcadia-Duarte Town Council.
