Arcadia Radiology went all out to celebrate their 50th anniversary with a ribbon cutting and a fabulous gathering Thursday, Nov. 5.
The Mayor Gary Kovacic got out of his sick bed to come and make a presentation to recognize the institution at 612 W Duarte Road that was recently saluted by the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce as an Arcadia Business Icon. Two other City Council members joined the Mayor — Tom Beck and Sho Tay in making presentations to Valentina Gatewood, Director of the Imaging Center.
Arcadia Chamber President Andrew Gregson of The Executive Factor and President-Elect Vicki Knight of Century Rooter Service & Plumbing also provided certificates of recognition Thursday night, the latter presenting on behalf of Congresswoman Judy Chu, who sent the certificate since she could not attend. Representatives from Senator Dr. Ed Hernandez and L.A. County Supervisor Brian Mejia were on hand to make presentations as well.
Arcadia Chamber CEO Scott Hettrick moderated the ceremony and ribbon-cutting and noted that Arcadia Radiology joined the Chamber in 1967, just two years after opening, and have been good members ever since.
In addition to the dignitaries, dozens of doctors and staff as well as Michael Driebe, President of the Methodist Hospital Foundation, enjoyed the festivities and delicious assortment of catered food and drinks, including salmon in a cup.
