Assemblymember Chau Issues Statement for 2018 Veterans Day Observance
Monterey Park – Today, Assemblymember Ed Chau (D- Monterey Park) issued the following statement in observance of Veterans Day 2018:
“On this Veterans Day, I join the community in remembering the valor and courage of our veterans who fought to protect our values and freedoms,” said Assemblymember Ed Chau. “This year marks the centennial of the end of World War I. In the century since the conclusion of World War I, American armed service officers have served in World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the two Gulf Wars and the current War on Terror. These troops answer the call to duty and we thank them and their families for their sacrifices to the United States of America.”
For Veterans Day Observance, Assemblymember Chau attended a ceremony convened in the City of Montery Park by The American Legion Post 397 (see attached photos).
Assemblymember Chau represents the 49th Assembly District, comprised of the communities of Alhambra, Arcadia, El Monte, Monterey Park, Rosemead, San Gabriel, San Marino, Temple City and portions of Montebello and South El Monte.
