Once again Arcadia Chamber member Doubletree by Hilton on Huntington Drive was gracious enough to host the Chamber’s annual thank you reception to the Taste of Arcadia Committee last night, Oct. 9, 2013.
Demonstrating the versatility of the hotel, when the evening turned out to be too rainy and chilly for the planned outdoor poolside location, General Manager Luis Plascencia moved the reception indoors to an elegant lounge and restaurant. (Nevermind that October is the hotel’s busiest month with corporate bookings and gearing up for Breeders’ Cup.)
There, the ToA Committee, led by Chief Taste Officer Bruce McCallum, toasted the committee and volunteers that produced the most successful Taste of Arcadia ever on Sept. 23 with more than 1,300 people in attendance. (Photo gallery below)
Spouses of McCallum (Joanne), Chamber CEO Scott Hettrick (Betty), and committee member Bruce Snell (Judy) joined Chamber President Arlynn Robinson and other committee members Wayne Tay, Jerry Pavelec, Vicki Knight, Aaron Rose, and Don Fandry at a beautiful table set up with linen napkins at each setting and bottles of wine and trays of delicious ravioli for the entire table. This was in addition to a buffet of tacos, vegetables, melons, cheese and crackers. And of course, the evening concluded with waiters handing out Doubletree’s signature individually packaged delicious cookies.
Thank you to the Taste of Arcadia committee for a record-setting event, and to Doubletree for helping the Chamber show its appreciation![flagallery gid=149]
