On Thursday, April 26th, Methodist Hospital teamed up with the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce to cut the ribbon on their brand new joint and spine wing of the hospital. Guests and staff alike gathered in the Berger Lobby to make the official announcement before everyone headed up to the fourth floor. Staff then lined up to cut the official ribbon before touring the wing, which consists of 348 beds, some of which provide amazing views of Arcadia’s landmarks. Staff is dedicated to the wing and specialize in all the needs of their specific patients.
Arcadia’s Mayor Peter Amundson was on hand to present Senior Vice President/Chief Strategy Officer Cliff Daniels a mayoral certificate. Chamber Ambassador Vicki Knight of Century Rooter Plumbing and Representative Adam Hsu, from the office of Assemblymember Ed Chau also presented certificates to Mr. Daniels. Also on hand from Methodist’s elite staff: President/CEO Dan Ausman; Senior VP/Chief Operating Office Steven Sisto; Senior VP/Chief Medical Officer B.S. Chandrasekhar, MD; VP/Chief Nursing Officer Bobbie McCaffrey, RN; and Vice President/Clinical Integration Deborah McCoy.
While Methodist Hospital currently offers a full range of high quality surgical orthopedic services, the new Joint & Spine Pavilion will further enhance the hospital’s orthopedic care, which includes total joint replacement, spine surgery, fracture care, and physical rehabilitation. The Pavilion features 24 patient care beds and will open to patients on Monday, April 30.
Establishment of the new Joint & Spine Pavilion will enable the hospital team to better collaborate with surgeons in order to provide customized orthopedic care for patients, which ultimately leads to optimal patient outcomes and a more active lifestyle.
