Multi-Family/Commercial Recycling
In the past, waste diversion efforts (primarily recycling and composting) have been focused on residential waste. However, the commercial sector, including businesses and multi-family complexes, generates two thirds of the waste statewide.
Assembly Bill 341 addresses the need for commercial businesses and multi-family complexes with 5 units or more that generate four or more cubic yards per week of waste to adopt recycling practices by arranging for commercial recycling services. If you aren’t yet recycling at your business or multi-family complex, the time to start is now!
